"The Far North." Olaf Soot and Don Mellor Slide Presentation. 8:00pm. Free Admission.

Olaf Soot (sorry, don't know the code for umlauts) and Don Mellor will present slides and stories from their book, Alpine Americas. This presentation will feature the first section of the book, The Far North, which deals with Arctic exploration. Don't miss this one. 

Saturday, May 9th

Rock and Snow Demo Day. 8:00am-8pm.

Stop by in the morning to take out some rock shoes from La Sportiva and Five Ten, running shoes from Inov-8, and harnesses from Petzl. Free of charge. Participants will receive a coupon for 15% a pair of climbing shoes, running shoes, or harness to be used any time in May.

Saturday, May 23rd

Movie Night. 8:00pm

Hosted by the American Alpine Club, we'll be showing two movies: Fred Padula's El Capitan and Julie Seyfert-Lillis' Gunks film. If you've never seen El Capitan, don't miss this opportunity to see it on the big screen. Oh yeah, the Alpine Club is buying us a bunch of pizza, so come hungry.

Larry Hamilton Slide Show. 8:00pm

Larry will present a slideshow on the early days of Red Rocks climbing including the first ascents of The Rainbow Wall and Solar Slab.

We as climbers are a community of people that travel to all ends of this earth to pursue our love of the rock.
