IS THE CAMP SELF-INFLATING SLEEPING MAT...?
Different from other entry-level self-inflating mats? Yes. The Delta Core-V technology reduces the weight and packed volume, and the mat is 1.5" thick (compared to 1" for similarly-priced alternatives).
Insulated well to protect me from the cold air and ground temps? Yes. The Camp Mat has a tested R-Value of 4.2 – suitable for use in all but the coldest weather.
Small enough when packed to use for backpacking? Perhaps. Conventional backpackers with 60+ Liter packs should have no issues stowing a Camp Mat. Weight/volume conscious backpackers may prefer an air mat – see above.
